Capture a Screenshot on Your Smartphone
The process of capturing a screenshot may vary slightly based on the device that you are using, but there are two general ways to do so, which are compatible with the vast majority of Android and iOS phones.
Method 1: The basic Button Combo
It is the default tool of the majority of smartphones and one of the quickest means of capturing what is on your display.
Find Your Buttons: Find the Power button (it is normally on one side or the top of your phone) and the Volume Down button (it is normally on the side).
Press and Hold: At the same time, press and hold the two buttons simultaneously for one second.
Release and Confirm: When you hear a flash or a sound of a camera snapshot, make sure that your screenshot is made.
Method 2: In Phones that have a Home Button
This procedure will suit you in the case you are operating an older device, and it has a physical Home button.
Find Your Buttons: Search for the Power and the Home button (the hard button at the bottom of your screen).
Press and Hold: Press the Home and Power buttons simultaneously and hold them for some time.
Release and Confirm: As in the former case, you will find a light or a sound in order to make you realize that you have taken a screenshot.
Once you have taken a screenshot, you will more often than not have a preview at the bottom of your screen. By clicking on this preview, you can simply edit, crop, or share the picture.
Where Do Screenshots Go?
After taking a screenshot, it is automatically saved in a given folder on your device. On the majority of phones, go to your Photos or Gallery app, and in either of them, you will see a folder named Screenshots. It is a good habit to empty this folder every now and then in order to get some storage space.

Edit Immediately: You can always edit what you need in most devices and, therefore, crop any parts that are not needed, add notes, or focus on sections of the image before posting it.
Scrolling Screenshots: Have to get more than what you can see on your screen? Several more recent phones have a scrolling screenshot feature. Once you have made a regular screenshot, you will see a capture more or scroll button, which you can tap to continue the screenshot and capture a long chat or a whole webpage.
